Yeah sure, vegans are the ignorant ones.

It’s not like we’ve done tons of research about veganism, spent hours watching documentaries & learning about how terrible the food industry is, or about the awful horrors that animals have to go through before they’re killed for food…

People who push Veganism in a unprofessional and immature mature tend to give the whole community a bad name. As you said, the videos we watch are online and I guess we can’t be 100% sure of it all, but the fact remains that animals are treated in horrific ways just so we can consume meat. I’m okay with people consuming eggs, milks etc. as long as they get them from markets were they can be sure that the animals are treated fairly. Obviously I’m not a scientist, but I’ve done so much research and from I understand, we aren’t meant to eat meat because our stomach acid isn’t strong enough, we also don’t have fangs or claws which carnivores and omnivores use to kill their prey with. From personal evidence, my body feels better already, just by cutting down how much meat I consume. My blood tests and other tests show that my body is already working better. I shall continue this when I get home tonight, I’m very interested in discussing this with you if that’s alright :)

I agree that that fact remains and in no way was I meaning that the state the world is in and our eating habits are acceptable, because there definitely needs to be changes and new information needs to be talked about, I agree 100% :) I have heard about theories and whatnot to do with humans not actually being omnivores and that we aren’t designed for meat and have done some research myself, but I always just question instinct then and how it seemed to be instinctual to us to build some form of weapon and kill something ourselves to survive in the wild, whether that be because we observed animals and copied or it just came about, but it’s personally something I can’t just ignore in the theories about all this, I’m a big believer in doing what feels right, flows right and if it is the case that that was instinct I think perhaps only a small amount of meat is meant to be consumed by us not the greedy, ridiculous, oil drenched amount most humans think is average now days, and I don’t want it to seem like I’m coming up with an easy excuse as to why eating meat is acceptable because I’m really not, I’m just trying to understand all the facts :)
But also, if this feels right for you and you truly are noticing positive health changes, I think you should stick with it! I tried it and it didn’t agree with me, I was getting all the nutrients and calories I needed but being a person with a pretty bad immune system and always been a tad underweight it just wasn’t the path for me! but that’s not to say it’s the wrong one for anyone else :)
I’m happy to continue this whenever! I’m finding the info n point of view very interesting :)

We vegans clearly don’t know a damn thing about veganism.

yeah.. I agree with this post to a very certain extent.. Vegans think and say they know everything about veganism and the animal industry ,and sure they do know a lot of the general facts, but they’re just watching videos online and doing silly “research” of videos and articles that have been posted by who knows and just because the info is by a site called “vegansunite” or what have you doesn’t mean it’s a wonderful and truthful site.
I love the intention behind veganism, the food itself is delicious and you can meet some really cool people but I stopped myself because a large number of you end up turning into self righteous twats and not actually knowing if you’re info is 100% simply because you trust the word of the next vegan.. Fact is a lot of not set in stone info gets thrown around, people are mislead and there’s just a lot of negativity and pressure to be a certain way from that lifestyle..
